CITY HALL CORRUPTION TRIAL HEADS TO JURY NEXT WEEK?
The bombshell trial of former City of Chicago powerhouse Alderman Ed Burke is nearing conclusion. The prosecution relies heavily on conversations recorded by former Alderman Danny Solis, who also recorded former Illinois House Speaker Michael J. Madigan, a trial which is set for the Spring of 2024, which only adds to the drama around the Burke trial.
PETITION SEASON
Illinois legislators have concluded one of their most important and perhaps least popular tasks – getting enough petition signatures to get on the ballot in March. Several legislative incumbents will see a challenger on the ballot and a few closely contested races are shaping up for November.
