Biographies:
Illinois State Representative Curtis Tarver (D) 25th District
- District: Curtis Tarver has represented the 25th district since 2019, a district previously represented by Barbara Flynn Currie. His district includes all or parts of East Side, Hyde Park, Kenwood, South Chicago, South Shore and Woodlawn.
- Early life and Education: Curtis Tarver is a Chicago native who grew up on the South Side. After graduating from Marian Catholic High School in Chicago Heights, Tarver went on to earn his B.S. from Iowa State University and J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law. He served as former assistant to Mayor Richard M. Daley, in the Mayor’s Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, as Director of Public Affairs for the Independent Police Review Authority and as an Administrative Law Judge for the City of Chicago. Tarver is a former member Chicago Commission on Human Relations and currently a member of the DePaul USA Board of Trustees and Big Shoulders Fund Chairman’s Advisory Council. Curtis is a proud father with one daughter.

Illinois State Representative Ann Williams (D) 11th District
- District: Ann Williams has represented the 11th district on Chicago’s north side since January 2011. The district includes the Chicago neighborhoods of West Lakeview, Roscoe Village and Northcenter, as well as parts of Lincoln Park, Lincoln Square, Ravenswood, Ravenswood Manor, Buena Park and North Halsted.
- Early life and Education: Ann Williams earned her undergraduate degree in Journalism from the University of Iowa and her law degree from Drake University Law School. She was a staff attorney for the Illinois House of Representatives and then Assistant Attorney General and Legislative Director for Attorney General Lisa Madigan. She is serving her 8th term in the IL House. Her legislative priorities include supporting our neighborhood schools, protecting critical human services, preventing gun violence, and restoring fiscal stability to Illinois. Rep Williams has been an advocate of reproductive rights and leader in marriage equality. Williams resides in Chicago’s Northcenter neighborhood.
