IVCA Foundation Awards Grant to Chicago:Blend

The IVCA Foundation is proud to announce an expanded grant to Chicago:Blend, deepening the nonprofit’s work to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in Chicago’s venture capital ecosystem. This multi-year collaboration supports Chicago:Blend’s Venture Fellowship Program, which provides emerging investors from underrepresented backgrounds with access to training, mentorship, and career opportunities in venture capital.

“We’re deeply grateful to the IVCA Foundation for its partnership and support,” said Joey Mak, CEO of Chicago:Blend. “At our core, both of our organizations believe that expanding access to opportunity isn’t just the right thing to do—it’s essential to building a stronger, more innovative venture ecosystem in Illinois. Together, we can continue opening doors for the next generation of investors, founders, and leaders who will shape Chicago’s future.”

The IVCA Foundation’s support reflects its commitment to building a more inclusive and representative investment community.

“We recognize the important work Chicago:Blend does to support the ecosystem and are thrilled to support their efforts,” said Christie Pruyn, Executive Director of the IVCA and IVCA Foundation. “This partnership aligns with our mission to foster a more equitable and dynamic private capital landscape in Illinois.”

The IVCA Foundation looks forward to continuing its collaboration with Chicago:Blend and supporting the next generation of diverse leaders in venture capital.
